We Love To Sing!

As you can see from our history, The Luren Singers have performed all across the United States and many times in Norway.  We sing in small, informal, intimate settings, and also in large, grand, formal settings with full orchestras and guest artists, both vocal and instrumental.  We sing at nursing homes, festivals, and every funeral or memorial service of every present or former Luren singer whose family asks. 

 

If you would like to have The Luren Singers at your event, you can make your request to our President Roger Buhr , or you can approach any of our members to bring your request before the group.  Every engagement is voted upon by the membership because it requires a commitment of the whole group to make the engagement the best that it can be.

 

If your event is far from Decorah, we will ask for a contribution toward the cost of our bus to get there.  If you propose to charge admission for our performance, we will need a voice in the disposition of at least a portion of those funds to one or more local charities in your community.  Otherwise, during intermission we will ask for a free-will offering to be given to one or more local charities in your community.

 

Although The Luren Singers have a very extensive repertoire, and are prepared to sing at the drop of a hat, and sometimes we have accepted engagements on very short notice, it is a good idea to make your request as early as possible before your event.
